Kingston's DC3000ME is a U.2 (2.5-inch, 15 mm) PCIe 5.0 x4 NVMe enterprise SSD for data-centre servers. The 3.84 TB version is rated up to 14,000 MB/s read, 5,800 MB/s write and 2.7 million random read IOPS, with 3D eTLC NAND, on-board power loss protection, TCG Opal 2.0/AES-256 encryption and a 7,008 TB (1 DWPD for 5 years) endurance rating.

Specifications checked 27 Sept 2026Manufacturer specifications, not a hands-on test.
Rated up to 14,000 MB/s sequential read and 2.7 million 4K random read IOPS at 3.84 TB under SNIA enterprise test conditions.
Lists on-board power loss protection, TCG Opal 2.0 and AES-256 encryption, up to 128 namespaces and a 7,008 TB (1 DWPD over 5 years) endurance rating.
It needs a U.2 host connection, such as a server backplane, rather than an M.2 slot, and the US data sheet lists up to 24 W on writes.
At 3.84 TB, rated sequential write (5,800 MB/s) and random write (300,000 IOPS) are the lowest of the DC3000ME capacities.

Listed 3.84 TB capacity; Kingston notes some of it is used for formatting and other functions and is not available for data storage.
SourceBackward compatible with PCIe 4.0 servers and backplanes. Requires a U.2 host connection, not an M.2 slot.
Data sheet order; all capacities.
3.84 TB value.
The complete reviewed exact manufacturer technical source identifies NVMe but does not state its protocol version. Omission does not establish a different revision or missing NVMe support.

SourceKingston: FIO random 4 KB transfers at queue depth 1, steady state including background activity. The data sheet footnote says the QoS measurement is based on the 30.72 TB capacity.
Source3.84 TB: 7,008 TB written, 1 drive write per day over 5 years, derived from the JEDEC Enterprise Workload (JESD219A). Not a guaranteed service life.
Maximum time term; coverage can end earlier when NVMe Percentage Used reaches or exceeds 100 in Kingston SSD Manager. Eligibility and full terms apply.
SourcePublished TBW/DWPD is a separate endurance rating from the wear-indicator warranty limit. Eligibility and full terms apply.
Manufacturer statistical MTBF claim, not an individual drive lifespan or guaranteed operating time.
SourceKingston lists AI, HPC, OLTP, databases, cloud infrastructure and edge computing.
SourceKingston lists on-board power loss protection using power caps.
Source3.84–15.36 TB figures. The US data sheet lists 'Max Write: 24W'; the English data sheet omits a maximum-write figure. Not a measured continuous consumption figure.
Specification row "Static and dynamic wear levelling: Yes" in the English data sheet ("wear leveling" in the US data sheet).
Listed security capabilities do not mean encryption is enabled or supported by every host.
As listed by Kingston ('etc.' in the source); not a list of SMART attributes.
SourceManufacturer operating range; not a measured temperature under a particular workload.
SourceManufacturer vibration rating with its stated frequency range. Not a drop test; ratings from different test protocols are not directly comparable.
